Purbalingga Police Collaborates with APINDO to Prevent Thuggery in Local Businesses

Purbalingga – In an effort to maintain a conducive investment climate free from criminal intimidation, the Community Guidance Unit (Satbinmas) of the Purbalingga Police held a coordination meeting with the Indonesian Employers’ Association (APINDO) Purbalingga.

Head of Satbinmas, AKP Tedy Subiyarsono, met with APINDO Purbalingga Chairman Rocky Djundjungan to establish communication on public order and security (kamtibmas) strategies aimed at preventing acts of thuggery within companies.

During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of active participation from APINDO and local business owners to combat such threats, fostering a safe and secure business environment in Purbalingga Regency.

Purbalingga Police Spokesperson, AKP Setyo Hadi, stated that acts of thuggery could hinder economic growth and create discomfort for both investors and local entrepreneurs.

“This is why the Purbalingga Police is partnering with APINDO to jointly prevent criminal intimidation within businesses,” he said.

He noted that this collaboration serves as a preventive measure to ensure the safety and security of business operators in the region.

The effort involves not only law enforcement but also active engagement from the business community in eradicating thuggery.

“We call on business owners to reject extortion, threats, and any actions that disrupt commercial activities. We also urge them to report any such incidents if they become victims,” he added.

The police spokesperson expressed hope that through coordinated efforts between law enforcement and the business association, disruptions to the business environment could be minimized. He stressed the need for collective action to uphold security and support stable investment conditions.

“Purbalingga Police remains committed to maintaining public security and protecting the business sector, so that investment in the region can grow optimally,” he concluded.
