CENTRAL LAMPUNG – Samsuri, Human Resources Development Manager at PT Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP), has been elected by acclamation as Chairman of the Central Lampung Regency Leadership Council (DPK) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) for the 2026–2031 term, succeeding Edhi Rumeksa.

Edhi Rumeksa of PT Great Giant Pineapple Companies (GGPC) was subsequently appointed Chairman of the Advisory Council. The leadership transition took place during the Second APINDO Central Lampung Regency Conference (Muskab II) 2026, held at Moon Be Cafe in East Bandarjaya, Terbanggi Besar, on Thursday evening, June 18, 2026.

Samsuri, who previously served as Deputy Chairman for Employment, Advocacy, and Social Security at APINDO Lampung’s Provincial Leadership Council (DPP) for the 2021–2026 term, was the sole candidate for the position. His election by consensus was therefore achieved smoothly at the highest decision-making forum of APINDO at the regency level.

The conference carried the theme: “With the Spirit of Indonesia Incorporated, Strengthening Business Synergy for a Renewing Central Lampung and an Advancing Lampung toward a Golden Indonesia.”

Muskab II was attended by participants from various backgrounds, including company executives, business entities, MSMEs, and small and medium industries (IKM) that are APINDO members. Among those present were PT Berkah Abadi Jaya Group Director Andhika Setyo Liguanto, who was nominated as secretary, accompanied by his wife and staff member Triana Oktaviana, who was nominated as deputy secretary; as well as Nisa Aryani, Head of Central Administration Division at PT GMP and Chairwoman of the Gunung Madu Foundation, who was nominated as treasurer.

Also attending was Andri Meyrdhian Syarief, Chairman for Trade Affairs of APINDO Lampung’s DPP and Chairman of the 2026 APINDO Lampung Regency and City Conference Facilitation Team. He was accompanied by fellow board members M. Farras Haris Mananda and Ismuliadi Zakaria.

Andri represented APINDO Lampung Chairman Ary Meizari Alfian, who was unable to attend because he had been called to a meeting with Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal concerning prospective investors in the Lampung Raya Waste-to-Energy (PLTSa) project. Andri officially opened the conference on behalf of Ary Meizari Alfian.

Acting Chairman of DPK APINDO Central Lampung, Muzzamil, said he was relieved to have fulfilled the mandate assigned to him under Decree No. SK-014-14/DPP-APINDO/LPG/IV/2026, dated April 19, 2026, concerning his appointment as acting chairman.

“Allow me to report, Mr. Andri. We made every effort to ensure that the Muskab was conducted properly and that all requirements for the formation of a legitimate management structure were fulfilled. We chose the theme because ‘Indonesia Incorporated’ is APINDO’s current tagline, while ‘Strengthening Business Synergy’ reflects our shared aspiration. This is in line with the ‘Central Lampung Renewal’ vision of the Central Lampung Regency Government for 2025–2030 under Acting Regent Komang Koheri. Likewise, ‘Advancing Lampung toward a Golden Indonesia’ reflects the 2025–2030 vision of Lampung Province under Governor and Deputy Governor Mirza-Jihan,” Muzzamil said in a statement received by RRI.CO.ID on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Muzzamil said that, as acting chairman, he had encouraged the incoming definitive management to invite Acting Regent of Central Lampung I Komang Koheri to serve as Chairman of the DPK Advisory Council.

“Ladies and gentlemen, APINDO’s 2022 Articles of Association and Bylaws not only reaffirm APINDO’s new paradigm, under which the organization is no longer focused solely on wage issues but also addresses broader strategic economic issues, but also mandate the establishment of an advisory structure within APINDO’s DPP and DPK,” he said.

“It is important to note that APINDO Lampung Chairman Ary Meizari Alfian was also one of the historical members of the team that formulated APINDO’s 2022 Articles of Association and Bylaws,” he added.

Muzzamil, who is also a 1998 reform movement activist and serves on the Media and Publications Division of APINDO Lampung’s DPP, also introduced event host Siti Sahrowati, one of approximately 400 MSME operators who are APINDO Lampung members.

He noted that the “APINDO Lampung UMKM Merdeka” program, initiated by Ary Meizari as a derivative program of APINDO Lampung’s MSME and Small and Medium Industry Division for 2021–2026, was subsequently adopted by the APINDO National Leadership Council (DPN) under its first female chairwoman, Shinta Widjaja Kamdani, as a flagship national program known as APINDO UMKM Merdeka, which has been implemented nationally since 2023.

“My hope is that over the next five years, APINDO Central Lampung will embrace as many new members as possible, especially considering that this is a large regency. There are 24 districts and tens of thousands of MSMEs. I want APINDO Central Lampung to become one of the best APINDO organizations in Bumi Ruwa Jurai,” Muzzamil said.

Meanwhile, Andri Meyrdhian Syarief called on the newly elected chairman and chairman of the Advisory Council to immediately form their management team and build synergy and collaboration with the Central Lampung Regency Government, trade unions and workers’ unions, as well as other relevant stakeholders in the regency.

“Congratulations to the elected chairman and the elected chairman of the Advisory Council. I hope business operators can build synergy and collaborate with the regional government, trade unions, workers’ unions, and stakeholders here. In this way, the business sector and business climate in Central Lampung can develop properly, remain conducive, and increase productivity. Everyone can benefit. Once again, congratulations—Central Lampung is renewing, Lampung is advancing toward a Golden Indonesia,” said Andri, who also serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Security Guard Association (Asosiasi Satuan Pengamanan Indonesia) in Lampung.
