Evan E. Tandean Appointed as Mandataris of APINDO Halmahera Timur

TERNATE – The leadership of the Provincial Executive Board of the Indonesian Employers Association (DPP APINDO) North Maluku, under Ghazali Abdul Muthalib, officially handed over a Mandate Letter to Evan Effrain Tandean, appointing him as the Mandataris (Acting Head) of APINDO Halmahera Timur.

According to Evan, the mandate was conferred in Ternate on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

The businessperson, who is active in the goods and services procurement sector, explained that he was entrusted to continue the remaining term of the previous APINDO Halmahera Timur management, which will run until 2026.

The official handover of duties and responsibilities was conducted directly by Ghazali Abdul Muthalib, Chairman of the Provincial Executive Board (DPD APINDO) North Maluku.

“As the Mandataris of APINDO Halmahera Timur, my role is to continue the remaining term of the current leadership until 2026. We also plan to hold a regional assembly (musyawarah) next year,” said Evan E. Tandean.

Evan emphasized his commitment to realizing a conducive, competitive, and sustainable business climate aimed at fostering job creation in the region.

Founded in 1952, the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) serves as the official representative body of the business community in Indonesia. The organization advocates for employers’ interests, particularly in labor and industrial relations, including dispute resolution and labor policy formulation.

APINDO also functions as a platform for dialogue between employers, the government, and other stakeholders, particularly in discussions surrounding minimum wage formulas and employment regulations.

In addition to advocacy, APINDO provides legal assistance, consultation, and guidance to its members on labor-related issues.

The organization was originally established as the Badan Permusyawaratan Urusan Sosial-Ekonomi Pengusaha Indonesia (PUSPI) and underwent several transformations before officially becoming APINDO in 1985.
